ATHENS COURT CLEARS BROKERS OF MARKET ABUSE

 

On 11.7.2023 the Court of Appeal Athens sitting as a first instance court returned an acquittal judgment for the chair and four high-ranking officers of a leading brokerage firm on charges of market abuse under aggravating circumstances. Following an investigation by the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission the brokers were charged with market abuse offences in connection with a capital increase of National Bank of Greece at the Athens Stock Exchange.
