The European Criminal Bar Association held its 2019 Spring Conference in Athens on 10-11 May 2019.
“Is effective access to legal counsel under attack?” was the general topic of the Conference which focused on recent developments in the lawyer-client privilege and the challenges for the defence in the refugee crisis.
Ilias Anagnostopoulos chaired a panel on the lawyer-client privilege with contributions by Hayley Ichilcik, Oliver Kipper, Jaime Campaner, Dominika Stepinska-Duch, George Pyromallis and Jaanus Tehver.
