Fair Trial’s Annual Conference on ‘Empowering Justice: Addressing Current and Enduring Challenges in Criminal Proceedings’ will be held in Milan on February 21-22, 2025.
Alexandros Tsagkalidis will moderate and speak at a panel on ‘Ensuring Defence Rights in the Context of Mutual Recognition Instruments: European Arrest Warrant, Confiscations, E-evidence, Freezing Orders, and Beyond.’ He will address “The conditions for non-recognition of freezing orders under Regulation 2018/1805 on the basis of the breach of the right to a fair trial, the right to an effective remedy, or the right of defence”.
